This Week in The Book World:

We got hit with the book world’s version of those orange squares from Fyre Festival.

(P.S. if you haven’t see the Fyre Festival Documentary. Watch it and check back in with us next week)

You might have noticed that a lot of your favorite creators were dropping their top 10 nonfiction books of the 21st century.

Why, you might ask?

Because the New York Times dropped their list of the best 100 books of the 21st century (spoiler the top book was My Brilliant Friend by Elena Ferrante 2012) Voters from book influencers Jack Edwards to Stephen King shared their top 10 books (kinda funny Stephen King picked his own book; respect the self-promotion 🤣).

As our friend Jules said it best:

Like all listicles, people had their critiques.

Which brings in the creators.

Christmas came in July and we got endless lists from our favorite bookish content creators.

We will share some below from some Bookum users!

This Week in Publishing:

For our Founders Club readers, we've got you covered this week.

Mike Maples Jr., co-founder and partner at Floodgate, a Silicon Valley venture capital firm, and Peter Ziebelman, professor at the Stanford Graduate School of Business and co-founder of Palo Alto Venture Partners, have a new book out today: "Pattern Breakers: Why Some Start-Ups Change the Future."

Dubbed as "the most important start-up book of the last ten years" by Steve Blank, co-creator of the Lean Startup Movement.

Add this book to your TBR list and let us know if you want us to make this our August/September Book Club pick!

As always, if you enjoyed this week’s newsletter, please share it with others. Every share helps and keeps us growing!
