This Week in The Book World:

One of our favorite booktubers put out an important and transparent video of how much she makes from YouTube.

@BookBorn, who has over 38.5K Subscribers and since 2020 has racked up 2.8 million views, revealed to her audience that she is only making roughly $500 a month or $3 an hour from YouTube.

To be clear: This isn't a YouTube issue but a book industry matter. Publishers often send free books in exchange for exposure to big book accounts' marketing reach.

It's a very insightful video that you should give a view, especially if you are a bookish content creator.

This video is significant because it embodies what we stand for at Bookum: creators should be paid for their massive value in the 100+ Billion dollar book market.

Start your own Membership Club on Bookum and watch your earnings grow faster than you can devour a double cheeseburger and fries from the dollar menu! 🍔🍟💸

This Week in Publishing:

If you loved Seven Days In June by Tia Williams, get excited because she is back with another book sure to be talked about!

"A Love Song For Ricki Wilde" tells the story of Ricki, the unconventional daughter of a prominent Atlanta family, who seeks a new beginning in Harlem, NY, leaving behind her privileged life to pursue her dream of opening a flower shop.

Amidst the vibrant atmosphere of the Harlem Renaissance, Ricki encounters a mysterious stranger in February, leading to a life-altering romance set against the backdrop of modern New York City."
